The second quarter of 2013 is expected to see a new low-cost device released by Nokia. The Asha 210 will be part of the Asha family and is marketed towards the cost conscious.
The new device comes with the marketing tag “the world’s first phone to have a dedicated WhatsApp button”. WhatsApp services will be free for all users of the device.
The Asha 210 will be available in single and dual-SIM versions and includes a QWERTY keyboard. At a cost of around $72, the specifications reflect that, with 2G only, 2.4inch non-touch screen and a 2 megapixel camera.
The Asha 210 is said to be for those people who want to easily update their social networks and stay in touch with friends and family. Nokia haven’t released which demographic they are targeting, but we think this might be for the teenyboppers!
